1/4 century :: 25 years :: 300 months :: 9,125 days :: 219,000 hours

This is my age today.

In the past year I have...taken 2 trips to the lake, 2 trips to Oklahoma, 1 trip to Philidelphia, 1 trip to Birmingham, ran 3 half marathons, ran 1 5k, ran 1 10k, done some yardwork and cleaning, gone to some football games, watched some football games, gone to 2 braves games and 3 GT baseball games, had some peaceful and refreshing days of rest, gone dancing, trained 5 new employees at work, gotten a promotion and pay raise at work, started Dave Ramsey's total money makeover (on babystep #2!), read a few books, was mentored by a very special lady, reconciled with a sweet friend, watched my sister get married to an awesome man of god, watched a dear friend move away, made some awesome new friends!  Thank you, JESUS!

God has shown Himself as my provider over and over again in the past year, despite my foolishness.  He has shown Himself faithful over and over.  He is transforming me more and more to look like His precious Son. He has brought me closer to Himself and shown me that life is a collection of seasons.  He is indeed the true giver of good gifts.  I could go on and on.  I am truly thankful.  I know it may sometimes sound like I am discontent with my life (esp the singleness part) but the truth is that all the things I need have been provided for.

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.  He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.  He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.  James 1:16-18

All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.  1 Timothy 1:17
