Today I was reminded just how much more Jesus loves us more than any other human being could, even our spouse (current or future).
As my friend Ashley at work told me excitedly of how she was proposed to this past friday (gotta love a good engagement story), she recounted how surprised she was at her fiance's bending on one knee to propose to her. Then I thought to myself as I stood there, 'God loves me more than that?!' Now that I sit and remember the moment, the thought comes that He not only loved us more than that, but He loved (past, present, and future) enough to stoop on both knees in order to wash our feet.
